In Westerly, RI, June 22nd, 2013 was a day any couple dreams of to get married on, sunny with beautiful blue sky abounding. Monika and Adam were thrilled to be the lucky recipients of such weather, and I, with the assistance of Ron Stella, was thrilled to be their photographer. I had originally met the couple at the Bridal Extravaganza at the Alpine Country Club in Cranston, RI, then caught up with them again soon after in Pomfret, CT.
On that stunning June morning, I met Monika, her mother, and her bridesmaids at the Uptown Salon and Spa where they were in expert hands for hair and makeup. The dolled up ladies and I then headed to the La Quinta Inn to photograph them getting ready. Meanwhile Ron headed to the Stagecoach House Inn to do the same for Adam and his groomsmen.
After a stunning and heartfelt ceremony at St. Clare Church we all headed out to the seaside community of Watch Hill for some group photos. This fun crew posed in the bayside gazebo nearby the quaint village shops. The rustic wood of the structures interior really added to the beauty of the shots. Then we headed to the Watch Hill Lighthouse. The security of the nearby house recently purchased by singer, Taylor Swift tried to stop us from going down the access road, but we knew better and went on down anyway. What a setting!! So glad we threw caution to the wind!
Off we then went to Haversham Tavern back in downtown Westerly for a cocktail hour followed by an energetic reception where we wrapped up this wonderful day. I wish Monika and Adam the very best. They are a beautiful couple and it really shows in their photos!
