The 4th of July is a day of celebration for our nation, with frivolity, fireworks and fun. On the 4th of July 2013, Michele and Gary were creating some “fireworks” of their own at their stunning wedding at Castle Hill Inn in Newport, RI.
Lucking out with yet another warm and beautiful day for this particular event my assistant David Van Buren and I headed out to what has long been one of my favorite spots in Newport; it was due to a wedding at Castle Hill five years ago that I fell in love with the area while still living in Chicago. The stunning forty acre peninsula, surrounded by water on three sides, overlooks scenic Narragansett Bay and is truly breathtaking.
Also breathtaking were Michele and her bridal party, and of course Gary looked great too! After the pair got ready at Castle Hill they headed out to their on-site ceremony and reception. The bridal party was largely comprised of their children. Two of their daughters performed live while the rest of the party was walking down the aisle. Meanwhile Michele glided towards her groom on the arms of their twin boys.
Portrait photos followed during the cocktail hour. We made sure to take a number of them down by the Castle Hill Lighthouse, perched on one of the property’s many rough and hidden cliffs. The bonus of the wedding date included being able to enjoy the town’s firework display unobstructed. My best wishes to the happy couple, what a fun and special anniversary date you will have to celebrate every year!
