Hosting my very first wedding workshop at the historical Blithewold Mansion in Bristol, Rhode Island, was nothing short of a dream come true. This grand estate, with its sweeping ocean views and timeless architecture, served as the perfect backdrop for a day filled with creativity, collaboration, and inspiration.
The workshop brought together a group of talented photographers, both seasoned professionals and those just beginning their journeys in the wedding industry. My goal was to replicate the energy and excitement of a real wedding day, offering participants a chance to refine their skills and expand their portfolios in a stunning, hands-on setting.
Our incredible models played the roles of a happy couple, complete with wedding attire and accessories that added authenticity to each shot. From capturing intimate moments during a faux first look to composing grand portraits in Blithewold’s lush gardens, the experience felt like stepping into a wedding photographer’s dream.
I am so grateful for the amazing vendors who contributed their time and talents to make this event unforgettable. Their dedication brought our vision to life and provided the perfect finishing touches that elevated the entire experience.
The energy and enthusiasm from the group were infectious. Watching everyone experiment with lighting, angles, and composition in such a remarkable setting was inspiring. We wrapped up the day with smiles, new connections, and a shared sense of accomplishment.
