Portraits: A Panorama from London to New London

A portrait is both timely and timeless – it represents the essence of
a person, the place they were both literally and figuratively when it
was created, and a moment in time. The medium can be different,
and styles can fade and come back into fashion but the features
that define a face make it recognizable and remain in both the mind
and memory.
Thames River Gallery in New London, Connecticut will be holding an opening reception on
Saturday November 2nd from 11am – 4pm to showcase three
different portrait painters and a guest photographer on each of the
gallery’s four walls.
Come observe our handpicked plein air artists as they interpret both
human and animal faces through each of their unique lenses and
portray their models in their chosen mediums.
